Well, it's been over a week since we arrived in Uganda but I've only had internet access on my computer for a few days. Figured it was a good time to start. Our first week and a half has been full of ups and downs--but, to some extent, we knew it would be like that. We are just anxious to have things wrapped up here sooner rather than later. Our first week was spent actually staying at the babies' home where Gideon is from. This was a good time for us to see where Gideon has spent the first 8 months of his life--firsthand! We were able to meet the staff and spend time with him. Okay, this pic loaded wrong. It's just the mosquito neet over our bed. FYI, mosquito nets are very annoying.

Praying you home, sooner, rather than later!
Big hugs to you both.

Hi Jamey --- I just stumbled across your blog and it brought back fond memories. I saw the picture of the crib where Gideon slept. Last September/October we were there everyday because we adopted "Gift" who slept in the crib next to him. If I'm not mistaken your Gideon is formerly known as Moses. I spent many hours holding him and feeding him his bottle while Gift (now Ramona) slept. It's so wonderful to see that he has found a loving home.
